Abstract:
To investigate and clone novel liver cancer apoptosis-related gene and to explore the accurance mechamism of liver cancer. Using homologous screening and RT-PCR, we had cloned the liver cancer-apoptosis-related gene APG, and analysed its expression in liver cancer and paracarcinoma tissue, and compared their sequence. The association of that gene with liver cancer was investigated by us. A new gene APG was cloned and its cDNA full-length is 247bp. There are some sequence difference between hepatocarcinoma tissue and paracarcinoma tissue. Of 50 cases of liver cancer, 16% (8/50) is up-regulated expression, 84% (42/50) is down-regulated expression (P<0.01) . There is no association between the gene and sex?AFP (P>0.05) . Its expression was associated with tumor size (P<0.05) , HBsAg (P<0.01) , differentiation degree (P<0.01) , invasion of the tumor envelop (P<0.01) , clinical stage P<0.01) , paracarcinoma satellite focus (P<0.01) , blood vessel cancer embolism (P<0.01) , Ki-67 protein expression (P<0.01) , expression of p53 (P<0.05) , apoptosis (P<0.05) . APG is a down-regulated gene for liver cancer which may stimulate the apoptosis of liver cancer. There is the relation between that gene and liver cancer.
