Abstract:
Objective To study the therapeutic effect and safety of tiopionin combined with Vitamin E for alcoholic fatty liver (AFL) .Methods 72 patients with AFL were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (n=46) was treated with 0.2g tiopionin once daily by intravenous drip and 100mg Vitamin E two daily by orally taken. The control group (n=26) was given 0.6g glucurolactone once daily by intravenous drip and 0.4g inosine three daily by orally taken. The treated course for both group was one month. Before and after treatment, clinical data including main symptoms and signs, adverse drug reactions, hepatic function, blood grease and fatty liver image B ultrasonic wave of the two groups were monitored respectively. Results After treatment the symptoms and signs of the treatment group were better than those of the control group.Total effective rate of the treatment group (80.4%) was higher than that of the control group (46.2%) (P<0.01) .The levels of AST, ALT, γ-GT and triglyceride (TG) were more declinced in the treatment group than the control group (P<0.01) , but there were no significant different for TBil and total cholesterol (TC) between the two groups. There were 3 cases of skin eruption, 2 cases of fever and 4 cases of gastrointestinal reaction observed in treatment group. Conclusion Tiopionin combined with Vitamin E has good clinical efficacy for the treatment of alcoholic fatty liver disease, the adverse effects must be observed in treatment.
