Hepatitis B virus infection and DNA methylation in hepatocellular carcinoma

摘要: 长期慢性乙型肝炎病毒(HBV)感染是肝细胞癌(HCC)发生的主要危险因子之一,近年来研究发现HCC的发生发展与表遗传学特别是抑癌基因启动子区CpG岛高甲基化关系密切,其发生可能是一个早期分子事件,具有基因特异性和肿瘤特异性,还可对肝癌的早期诊断和病情预后的监测及其防治具有重要意义。本文就HBV感染与HCC相关抑癌基因甲基化的研究现状作一综述。Abstract: The persistent and chronic HBV infection is a main risk factor of hepatocarcinogenesis.The recent studies reported that epigenetics, especially the hypermethylation of CpG islands of the tumor suppressor gene, played an important role in hepatocarcinogenesis, and epigenetic changes appeared in the early stage of tumor formation.Methylation in HCC occured in a gene-specific and cancer-specific manner.It may be benefit to the early diagnosis and prognosis assessment.Here we review current opinions about hypermethylation of tumor suppressor gene induced by HBV infection.
