在北京医科大学获得医学学士和医学硕士学位。曾经在香港中文大学和比利时根特大学进修学习。主要从事乙型肝炎病毒相关病原学、致病性和预防领域研究工作。负责和参加多项国家级、省部级及国际合作课题，包括“十一五”“十二五”“十三五”传染病重大专项计划病毒性肝炎重大研究专项课题、比利时弗兰芒大区和中国科技部合作课题等；同时负责多项横向研究课题，包括与北京科兴生物制品公司合作甲肝疫苗课题、与深圳康泰生物制品公司合作乙肝疫苗课题等。已发表论文80余篇，其中SCI论文20余篇。2004年获得中国药品监督管理局颁发的新药证书“新型冠状病毒(N蛋白)测定试剂盒(化学发光法)”。2015年获得山东科技进步奖二等奖“乙型肝炎病毒相关慢性肝病的相关基础与临床应用研究”。 在社会服务方面，目前兼任中联肝健康促进中心理事（NGO组织），参与国家西部老区儿童乙肝疫苗补种等项目工作。另外，作为审稿人负责为SCI期刊和核心期刊论文审稿。
