WT5”BZ] To study the relationship between transforming growth factor β 1 (TGFβ 1) and liver fibrosis.The expression of TGFβ 1 protein in liver tissues were detected by immunohistochemical methods in 45 cases with viral hepatitis and cirrhosis, and the serum level of TGFβ 1, hyaluronic acid (HA) , laminin (LN) , collagen type Ⅳ (Ⅳ-C) and precollagen type Ⅲ (PⅢP) were measured in 21 of these 45 cases.Results:The serum level of TGFβ 1 and its expression in liver tissues were positively correlated.Both of them were positively correlated with the degree of liver fibrosis and serum level of HA, LN, Ⅳ, PⅢP.Conclusion:TGFβ 1 could accelarate the process of liver fibrosis by increasing synthesis of extracellular matrix components.
