To study the relationship be tween the change of interleukin-6 (IL-6) activity and the level of hepatic fibro sis in alcoholic liver disease (ALD) .Among the 120 patients with ALD, the level o f interleukin-6 (IL-6) ?hyaluronic acid (HA) ?laminin (LN) , type Ⅲ procollagen ( PC-Ⅲ) and type Ⅳ collagen (Ⅳ-C) in serum is monitored.The same items are moni tored in the control group with 30 healthy people.The in acase of IL-6 in ALD gr oup (P<0.05～0.001) .The changes of HLIV?PC-Ⅲ and Ⅳ is marked nigher than the control group (P<0.001～0.0001) .The changes of IL-6 activity is Posilive correlaled with the level of hepatic fibrosis in ALD.
