The observation of anti-viral effect of matrine combined with interferon α-2b on the chronic hepatitis B patients with mild transaminase elevations

Objective To observe anti-viral effect of matrine combined with interferon α-2b on the chronic hepatitis B patients with mild transaminase elevations and study the mechanism of cellular immunology.Methods 60 cases of mild chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into two groups: the group of matrine combined with recombinant human interferon α-2b and the monotherapy group of recombinant human interferon α-2b.The change of ALT, AST after one month of treatment, and titers of HBeAg and the load of HBV DNA after three months of treatment were detected respectively.In addition, the quantity of subpopulation of peripheral blood lymphocyte were also detected by flow cytometry.Results After the treatment, the titers of HBeAg and the load of HBV DNA significantly decreased and CD3+T, CD4+ and CD8+T significantly increased.There is obvious difference between the two groups (P<0.01) .Conclusion Matrine combined with recombinant human interferon α-2b has better anti-viral effect and is more safer for chronic hepatitis B patients with mild transaminase elevations.
