Dr. Weng and his team investigate molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying liver failure, liver regeneration and liver fibrosis. Recently years, they mainly focus on transcription networks in hepatocytes and liver progenitor cells in acute liver failure. His group obtains grant support from German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Sino-German Scientific Center. Some of their findings have been published in Hepatology, J Hepatol, Gut, Am J Pathol, J Immunol, et al. Dr. Weng also supports these journals to review manuscripts.
